About the Experience
From December 15th to April 15th, during Maui’s winter season, humpback whales migrate from the icy waters of Alaska to the warm, tranquil seas of Maui. These magnificent creatures come to the waters off Ka’anapali to give birth and nurture their calves in the safe, calm environment.

Whether you’re eager to learn about the whales from our expert naturalists or prefer to sit back with a refreshing drink and watch nature unfold, our tour offers a little something for everyone.

Onboard Amenities
Enjoy a full open bar, offering a selection of alcoholic beverages for guests 21+ (with valid ID), including local and domestic beers, white wine, champagne, bourbon, rum, and vodka. For those looking for something non-alcoholic, we have a variety of soft drinks, lemonade, passion orange guava juice, and refreshing water.

What to Wear
Be sure to bring a hat to keep the sun at bay! A chin strap will help secure your hat in case of wind. Light, waterproof clothing and a broad-brimmed hat are ideal for comfort. We recommend a shirt, light jacket, and shorts for the tour, along with a light rain jacket just in case. As our whale-watching tours are barefoot, wear shoes that can be easily removed and stored. We also offer complimentary reef-safe sunscreen if you forget your own.

Itinerary
Arrive at our kiosk 30 minutes before departure to check-in and receive a brief safety briefing. After checking in, we’ll collect your shoes and get you comfortably settled aboard the boat. Once underway, our knowledgeable captain and crew will guide you in search of the best spots to see humpback whales in action.

Check-in Information
To ensure a smooth start to your adventure, please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure to check in at our Sea Maui kiosk. We are conveniently located between Leilani’s Restaurant and Hula Grill along the beachwalk at the Whalers Village Shopping Center.

Important Restrictions
As our catamaran is beach-loaded, we regret to inform you that we are unable to accommodate guests with mobility challenges. Please plan accordingly when booking your tour.

Private Charter

• Sea Maui II 2-Hour Hire: US$3,411 (includes $2,200 for the charter, $200 for fuel, plus tax)

TripSafe Protection for Booking Flexibility

If you’ve booked directly with Sea Maui and selected the TripSafe option, you’re all set! You can cancel or reschedule your tour for any reason up to 30 minutes before check-in (departure time). To make changes, simply email info@seamaui.com or call (808) SEA-MAUI at least 30 minutes before departure. You’ll receive a full refund minus the TripSafe protection cost and any booking fees. Alternatively, you can reschedule based on availability.

In the case of operator cancellations due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, all customers will receive either a full refund or the option to reschedule.

Guests Without TripSafe Protection

For those without TripSafe protection, the cancellation policy requires at least 48 hours’ notice prior to departure. To cancel, reschedule, or request a refund, contact us by calling (808) SEA-MAUI or emailing info@seamaui.com at least 48 hours before departure. Cancellations within 48 hours of departure are non-refundable. No-shows will be charged the full price.

For private charters and special events, a 7-day notice is required for a refund. Please note that third-party vouchers may have additional restrictions, and Sea Maui is not responsible for refunds on tickets purchased through third-party vendors, though we will work with you to resolve any issues.
