The adventure begins with a gentle walk through one of Maui’s enchanting bamboo forests. As we continue, we’ll reach a creek bed that changes with the flow of nearby waterfalls. Here, we’ll hop across rocks, navigating through towering bamboo and winding trails.

Hike Difficulty: Moderately Challenging & Technical (For Experienced Hikers and Active, Fit Individuals, Including Kids)

Our journey begins with rock hopping to the first waterfall, where you can take a quick refreshing swim. Next, we face a 15-foot, sheer, and slippery rock slope beside the waterfall. Thankfully, natural steps and ropes are available to assist you in climbing up. Once at the top, we hike through more bamboo groves and arrive at a larger, more impressive waterfall with a deep pool—perfect for relaxing, cooling off, and enjoying cliff jumping or swinging from a rope! Some prefer to swim directly to the waterfall and climb into it, although the rocks can be slippery. A private guide is invaluable here to ensure safety while you sit near or under the waterfall, enjoying the beauty of your surroundings.

The next phase of the hike is more challenging. We climb a ladder with preset ropes to ascend the steep cliff face next to the waterfall, reaching the top of the falls. With the help of your guide, you’ll make your way through lava rock hopping across both dry and slippery rocks in the creek bed. Our path leads us to a hidden rock formation that drops into a secluded channel, perfect for a swim (this is where our dry pack comes in handy). We’ll then climb up a man-sized waterfall into the creek bed and rock hop to a towering 100+ ft waterfall. Take a break here to relax, enjoy a snack or lunch, and bask in the sun. The nearby lava rock wall offers various tiers for climbing and jumping, making it fun for everyone! At this point, most will decide to turn back.

The return hike is much quicker, as we head straight back without any stops. The total roundtrip is about two miles and takes roughly 3.5 to 4 hours. Afterward, we’ll drive you back to the meeting point to conclude the adventure.
